Who We Are Quantitative Modeling and Research (QMR)is an innovative team within
Single Security Modeling (SSM) area. We specialize in crafting sophisticated risk and valuation models that span a diverse range of products, including interest rates, FX, inflation, equity, and credit. Our mission goes beyond traditional quantitative models; we are at the forefront of exploring novel modeling techniques, such as neural networks, to tackle complex problems in quantitative finance.

What You Will Be Doing - Quantitative Modeling: Enhance and support the analytics for the muni products. Expand model coverage to address evolving client.
- Analytical Support: Participate in internal and external client calls and on-site visits in support of the Aladdin business. Address complex analytics queries.
- Thought Leadership: Keep abreast of contemporary trends in quantitative finance, capital markets and regulation. Bring the latest techniques to bear on the problems we face in our day-to-day work.
What We Look For - A Degree in a Quantitative Field: An undergraduate degree is required. An advanced degree is a plus, but mathematical maturity matters far more than formal qualifications.
- A minimum of 5 years of industry financial modeling experience, including at least 2 years focused on interest rate modeling. Experience in the muni space is a big plus.
- Ability to write robust and efficient code implementing the models. C++ programming experience is required, while knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.
- A strong analytical mindset is essential. Whether you hold a PhD in Physics or enjoy reading math books for fun, a keen interest in solving complex analytical problems is crucial.
- Excellent communication skills are required. You will be expected to explain complex concepts to non-technical people in simple, intuitive terms.
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$162,000.00 - USD$215,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
