Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant with at least 3 years of accounting experience, including 1+ year in a legal firm setting. The position is fully in-office and reports directly to the Controller. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm in a role that offers both challenge and opportunity for advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the General Ledger.
• Oversee the payroll process and ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
• Assist in Month-End and Year-End closing processes.
• Supervise and review daily operations, including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and cash receipts.
• Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets and financial forecasts.
• Provide support for year-end tax planning.
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are applied and followed in daily operations.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a legal firm.
• Strong proficiency in General Ledger, Journal Entries, Tax Filings, Payroll, and Month-End Close processes.
• Expertise in Excel (Pivot Tables, V Lookups).
• Experience with legal accounting software such as Thomson Reuters 3E and Paycom is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of initiative.
• Must be a team player with a professional demeanor.
