Role Overview:
The SAP P2P Functional Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and
optimizing end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes within SAP S/4HANA or ECC
environments. This role involves leading global teams, collaborating with cross-
functional stakeholders, and ensuring seamless integration of procurement
workflows with finance, logistics, and compliance systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Implementation
o Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP P2P solutions,
including Materials Management (MM) and Accounts Payable (AP)
modules.
o Drive full lifecycle SAP implementations (at least 2 3 projects) with a
focus on procurement, invoice processing, and supplier collaboration.
o Ensure integration with related modules such as FI, WM, QM, and SD.
Process Optimization
o Analyze business requirements and map them to SAP best practices
for procurement, subcontracting, intercompany stock transfers, and
payment processes.
o Implement automation and compliance controls for procurement and
invoicing.
Stakeholder Management
o Collaborate with procurement, finance, IT, and external vendors to
deliver business transformation initiatives.
o Conduct workshops, gather requirements, and prepare functional
specifications (FS) and technical specifications (TS).
Testing & Deployment
o Prepare and execute test scenarios (UT, SIT, UAT), troubleshoot
issues, and ensure timely resolution.
o Support cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization.
Documentation & Training
o Create SOPs, training materials, and user guides for P2P processes.
o Mentor junior consultants and provide knowledge transfer sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
o 10 12 years of SAP MM/P2P functional experience.
o Minimum 3 years in a lead or managerial role.
o Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments.
o Expertise in direct/indirect procurement, invoice/payment processing,
and supplier lifecycle management.
Technical Expertise:
o Strong knowledge of SAP MM, Procurement, and AP modules.
o Familiarity with integration tools (e.g., SAP Cloud Integration Gateway,
Coupa, Ariba).
o Understanding of compliance frameworks and tax integrations.
Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication and presentation skills.
o Ability to lead global teams and manage stakeholders across regions.
