About the Family:
Kind and loving family in Baldwin, MD, is seeking a compassionate and patient nanny to help care for their two children, a 4-year-old son who has mild autism and a 15-month-old daughter. Their son is kind and smart, but mom is struggling to find balance in caring for both children and providing them each the time and attention they deserve. The family needs a supportive, responsible nanny to assist with childcare so mom can have some time with each child and for herself as well.
Responsibilities:
- Care for a 4-year-old boy with mild autism and a 15-month-old girl
- Light meal prep for the kids
- Tidy up after self and children
- Focus on child engagement and care
- Take initiative and be responsible for picking up on children's cues
- Help provide support to mom in caring for the children
- Committed, dependable, and willing to ideally commit to more than short-term
Qualifications:
- Experience caring for young children and children with special needs
- Compassionate, patient, and responsible
- Able to take initiative in managing day-to-day care
- Comfortable with light meal prep and tidying up after kids
Additional Information:
- Pay rate: $20-25/hr, negotiable based on experience
- Schedule: 3 days a week, 12 PM - 7/8 PM, with help needed on Saturdays, Sundays, and Thursdays. Schedule may be more flexible in 2025 when dad starts new job
- Start date: ASAP
- Commitment: 1 year
