Job Description

(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Medical Technologist - General - NEW Medical Technologist OR Medical Laboratory Scientist OR MLT Opening at a large laboratory that provides comprehensive anatomic, clinical and molecular pathology services. This laboratory specializes in hematology|oncology, dermatology, urology, gynecology, non-gyn cytopathology, neuropathology and forensic medicine (as well as others). Also, this laboratory is fully certified by the state of Tennessee, College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Joint Commission as well as the Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA).

This laboratory is looking to add a permanent and full time Medical Technologist| Medical Laboratory Technician to their Chemistry Department (there are also openings in Hematology, Microbiology, Molecular and other departments!) The Medical Technologist|MLT will be responsible for day to day specimen processing, analysis and results reporting in their respective department. For consideration, applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology (or related field) or an Associates Degree in addition to a Medical Technologist OR Medical Laboratory Technician Certification through ASCP (or equivalent). Applicants MUST have or be willing to obtain a Tennessee State License.
