Total Veterinary Care in Kennesaw,GA, is looking for a dedicated, motivated, and EXPERIENCED VET ASSISTANT/ NON-LICENSED VET TECH to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about animal care, client education, and have proven skills as a vet assistant, we want to hear from you!

Hiring Range: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill-level.

Schedule:

• Must be available a minimum of 30 hours each week to be considered full-time
• Choice of 4- or 5-day work weeks
• Hospital hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
• Must be available to work a rotating Saturday schedule

NOTE: This is a full-time, permanent staff (non-relief) position

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least full years of full-time experience as a veterinary assistant in a veterinary hospital setting
• Has the ability to demonstrate proper restraining techniques, in-house laboratory skills, catheter placement, blood draws, ability to accurately fill prescriptions, etc.
• Has strong soft skills/people skills including effective communication with clients and fellow team members, problem-solving, work ethic, maturity, time-management, and other interpersonal skill
• Has a solid understanding of preventative medications , medical terminology and calculations , and a passion for client education
• Takes initiative by preparing for each day’s appointments, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, retrieving medical history of patients, surgical assisting, etc.
• Can demonstrate efficient organization and has the ability to pay attention to multiple details by taking initiative and staying motivated to provide excellent service to our clients.
• Wants to learn new skills and is focused on using them to advance their careers for the betterment of themselves, their team, and the clients and patients we serve
• Has a positive attitude and is an effective and respectful team player
