Job Description
Marketing & Communications
- Oversee internal and external communications, including newsletters, press releases, social media content, website updates, and crisis communications, ensuring alignment with Delta Chi’s mission and values.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that supports recruitment, retention, and engagement efforts across all chapters and alumni.
- Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and leverage new strategies and tools to position Delta Chi at the forefront of the fraternity sector.
- Collaborate with staff to promote fraternity conferences, leadership programs, and alumni events through strategic marketing campaigns and materials.
- Serve as Editor of the Delta Chi Quarterly, managing content planning, writing, editing, layout, and design to ensure a high-quality publication.
- Lead content creation and work with staff and contributors to develop engaging articles, stories, and updates for members and alumni.
- Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjust strategies as needed, and report key performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Lead public relations efforts, including media outreach and press releases, to ensure Delta Chi is represented positively and effectively.
- Serve as the key contact for crisis communications, working closely with leadership to craft timely and appropriate responses.
- Provide leadership to the marketing and communications team, fostering cross-departmental collaboration and ensuring consistency in branding and messaging.
- Act as the primary project manager for the marketing and communications team, ensuring timely execution of campaigns, social media efforts, and communication initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Membership Experience departments and Delta Chi Foundation to ensure alignment of goals and strategies.

Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives
- Establish and maintain partnerships with external organizations, vendors, and sponsors to maximize brand exposure and support, with special consideration for partnerships with Dale Carnegie, Dyad Strategies, Affinity Gateway, Campus Classics, and the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on special projects, acting as a project manager and content creator for initiatives supporting the Board of Regents and Executive Committee.
- Utilize insights from research, such as the Membership Experience Survey, to guide marketing, programming, and member experience improvements.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a hands-on leader, supporting cross-departmental alignment and ensuring the successful execution of key initiatives.
- Represent the International Fraternity at industry conferences and events, as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in leadership roles overseeing marketing and communications, preferably in the nonprofit or fraternity/sorority sector.
- Extensive experience in content creation, writing, editing, and publishing, with a demonstrated ability to manage publications such as magazines or digital newsletters.
- Experience leading marketing campaigns, public relations and crisis communication efforts, including media outreach.
- Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing performance metrics and adjusting strategies.
- Deep understanding of the fraternity landscape and a passion for Delta Chi’s mission and values.
Preferred Skills and Technical Abilities
- Proficiency with marketing tools: MailChimp, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva Pro.
- Advanced understanding of crisis communication and public relations management.
- Expertise in content creation across multiple platforms, including print (e.g., Delta Chi Quarterly) and
- digital (social media, email marketing).
- Strategic marketing abilities, focusing on recruitment, retention, and engagement for both
- undergraduate members and alumni.
- Familiarity with data-driven marketing, utilizing tools/analytics to assess campaign effectiveness.
- Collaboration skills, especially in working with senior leadership and external partners to align strategies and goals.
