Job Description

ChildServe has an opening for a Video Production Intern. The successful applicant will be working towards a degree in film, editing, graphic design, or a related field. This exciting opportunity will allow a student to create accurate, engaging, and timely video content for ChildServe’s internal and external marketing and communication efforts including branded videos for staff, family, recruiting and donor audiences. This internship is in-person, working from our location in Johnston, Iowa.

Schedule: Summer 2025, Monday – Friday, during general business hours, up to 40 hours per week

Compensation: $12 - $14/hour, commensurate with experience

What You’ll Do

 
Organizational Marketing

•    Create accurate, engaging and timely video content for ChildServe’s internal and external marketing and communication efforts including branded videos for staff, family, recruiting and donor audiences. This may include developing content for a wide range of visual methods, including but not limited to:

i.    Digital Ads (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Google)
ii.   Service and family impact videos
iii.  Donor recognition
iv.  Recruiting efforts
v.   Brand and mission awareness
vi.  Service-specific videos for website

•    Support the marketing team's strategy and special projects as assigned.

Administrative Support

•    Complete administrative work as needed, including organizing mailings, managing photo/video releases, collating and binding marketing materials, filing, and general office duties as assigned. 

 

What You’ll Need

•    Current enrollment in a post-secondary institution working towards a degree in film, editing, graphic design, or related field combined with relevant experience is preferred.
•    Knowledge in Adobe Premiere Pro and in the full Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder, Audition).
•    Experience with content creation preferred.
•    Previous relevant internships and work or classroom experience preferred but not required.
•    Creative eye for storytelling and content gathering.
•    Strong organizational skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
•    Tactful customer-service skills for working with internal customers.
•    Experience working within and adhering to organizational brand standards is helpful, but not required.
•    Ability to communicate in English effectively for understanding, in writing and verbally.
