Job Description

North Country HealthCare is transforming healthcare for rural Arizona as a Primary Care, Federally Qualified Teaching Health Center. General Description of Position:

Provides outpatient nursing care and patient education/assistance by assessing patient medical needs, administering treatments, recording medical condition for medical provider review and other duties associated with daily operations of the Urgent Care clinic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs triage for walk in patients.
Assures best possible patient flow through clinic process.
Observes and records patients symptoms, assesses medical need for attention, severity and determines necessary lab data to obtain prior to being seen by provider.
Gathers vital signs, medical history, surgical history, and current medication list for patients and documents in EHR.
Collects and prepares laboratory specimens for send out and executes in-house point of care lab testing.
Administers medication and treatments to patients, includes injections, immunizations per orders, documents appropriately in EHR and instructs patients on follow-up procedures.

Education and Experience:

RN/BSN
3 Years Experience in related field

Required Certificates, Licenses, etc.:

Valid State of AZ RN License
Valid AZ Driver License

Preferred Certifications, Licenses, etc.:

ACLS Certification First Responder, Urgent Care or ED Experience
