Head Start Toddler Teacher- $17-$18.60/hour
Pro Action’s Head Start Program is looking for a full-time 12-month, toddler teacher for their toddler classroom in Hornell. The Toddler Teacher works as part of a classroom team and implements a developmentally appropriate curriculum while providing nurturing care. Compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and New York State Day Care Regulations is required at all times.
This position requires an Infant/Toddler CDA or an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education with emphasis on Infant/Toddler development. Experience working with infants/toddlers, preferably in a classroom setting is necessary. The ideal candidate must work well with children, have excellent organization and communication skills, be able to manage multiple priorities, have basic computer knowledge, and eager to learn new skills.
The ideal candidate must have a valid driver’s license, meeting agency standards per position and consistent, reliable transportation that will allow regular travel in and around the service area.
