Job Description

Responsible for the overall management of the Company’s local and remote SQL servers and databases, including SQL security using SQL schemas, proxies, and policy.

• Monitor and tune appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance.
• Responsible for maintaining SQL security using SQL schemas, proxies, and policy.
• Perform maintenance and consistency checks and the application of partitioning functions/schemas.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures relative to SQL server installations and maintenance.
• Establish and maintain SQL back-up and disaster recovery solutions.
• Manage upgrades to existing applications and databases as required.
• Work with SQL server database clustering, replication, and mirroring.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a computer science discipline or a comparable level of experience preferred.
• Four (4) years of experience SQL database administration, including T-SQL required.
• MCTS on Microsoft SQL server required.
• MCDBA preferred.
• Must have a working knowledge of SQL Server versions 2000, 2005, and 2008.
• Must have experience with BI tools, specifically SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and MS SharePoint.
• SQL Data Warehouse and SQL reporting services experience preferred.
• Prior experience with several back-up/recovery solutions including SQL, Tivoli, CommVault, and Snap Manager strongly preferred.
• A good understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery requirements and solutions strongly preferred.
• Must have strong organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Must have strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
