Black Bear Talent is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist. The Specialist plays a key role in creating a positive and supportive new-hire experience by facilitating communication, coordinating onboarding activities, and assisting candidates in navigating required steps and documentation.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of one year of experience in a talent acquisition, onboarding, or HR support role, including exposure to compensation or hiring processes; experience in healthcare or a complex environment preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in Human Resources or related field
• 3–5 years of HR, onboarding, or talent acquisition experience
• Experience supporting additional HR functions
Skills:
• Collaborative, approachable, and able to support individuals at all levels in the organization
• Provides guidance and support to candidates throughout the onboarding process, including background checks, I-9 completion, documentation, and other pre-employment requirements
• Takes ownership of tasks and delivers on commitments to support organizational goals
• Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, and practices strong listening skills
• Demonstrates ability to recognize patterns, identify key issues, and understand how pieces connect within the organization
• Possesses strong organizational awareness and understands how decisions impact systems, processes, and stakeholders
• Applies sound judgment when gathering information, evaluating situations, and recommending next steps
• Maintains focus on organizational priorities while ensuring a positive and efficient onboarding experience for candidates
