The Mission of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is to “License Efficiently and Regulate Fairly”. The Division of Technology supports the mission of DBPR through management of the systems that underpin the services the Department offers to the public. Our staff continually work to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of DBPR, through consultation with the business units within the Department to integrate new and innovative technology solutions.
Your Specific Responsibilities:
The Systems Project Consultant (SPC) on the database team focuses on analyzing systems and applications to design database structures that meet business needs. Assist with database development, application design, and maintenance, as well as assisting with user permissions and code migration. This is a highly analytical position that must assist with the creation and maintenance of comprehensive system documentation, reports, and dashboards. The incumbent will provide technical support to developers, project managers, and technicians where appropriate. This role includes troubleshooting errors and performing routine database refreshes. This position will participate in a rotational 24-hour on-call for emergency support.

Please Note:
Preference will be given to candidates that have experience working with data visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, etc., as well as previous experience in data analysis and familiarity with tools such as QLIK, Tableau, Toad, Oracle or SQL Server.
