Job Description

iTrust Human Capital Management is seeking to place a Sr. System Integration Engineer with one of our clients in Columbia, MD. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring Secret clearance.

Position Overview

The Sr. System Integration Engineer will support large-scale system integration within complex network environments featuring geographically distributed components. This role operates in an Agile environment, collaborating with program management, integration teams, and information assurance specialists.

Core Responsibilities

System Integration & Management

• Lead integration efforts for enterprise-scale network environments
• Support Linux and Windows-based components in high-performance computing systems
• Conduct advanced system diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Oversee development and production systems maintenance
• Coordinate deployment activities and COTS software evaluation

Technical Operations

• Manage software builds, version updates, and security patches
• Develop system configuration documentation and data flow diagrams
• Plan and execute system maintenance windows
• Perform risk assessments and alternative analyses

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years experience, OR
• Master's degree with 6+ years relevant experience

Technical Skills

• Proven Linux system administration expertise
• Experience with enterprise virtualization platforms
• Advanced application deployment capabilities
• Demonstrated network troubleshooting proficiency

• Strong independent problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work extended hours supporting mission-critical systems
• Security clearance Required

Preferred Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Windows Server and Server Core administration
• Advanced Wireshark and network protocol analysis
• VMware infrastructure management
• CentOS/RedHat systems administration
• Scripting proficiency (PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python)
• Configuration management tools experience

Infrastructure Knowledge

• Enterprise storage systems (iSCSI, Flash SANs)
• Network monitoring tools (Solarwinds)
• Security infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, NIDS)
• PKI systems and HSM implementation
• Database administration experience

Network Architecture

• Cisco platform expertise (Nexus, Catalyst)
• Advanced networking concepts (NAT, PAT, VPC, ACLs)
• Secure infrastructure management
• Systems integration with emerging technologies
