We are seeking a new team player to fill our Supply Chain Logistics Specialist position available at our Houston TX, location Benefit Package Offered: Employee offered standard company benefit package to include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, accidental death benefits, and eligibility to participate in a safe harbor 401(k) plan.

Position Summary: This position is responsible for booking, tracking, & tracing international and domestic shipments.

Position Description:

• Coordinate Import & Export transportation for Sinomax East.
• Review and ensure accuracy on shipping documents sent by vendor; enter container, shipment details as well as freight & duty charges into ERP system.
• Monitor entire process of cargo movement; coordinate with forwarder, trucker, warehouse receiving personnel to schedule
• deliveries; resolve any problem such as customs hold, damage etc.
• Update container departure, arrival, delivery & empty return dates daily.
• Pay Traffic Mitigation Fee (TMF) for containers through Pier-Pass.
• Schedule domestic transfer, pickup, transload or expedited transportation as needed.
• Continually review freight costs, transportation rates, identify issues and seek solutions to keep costs down where possible
• Prepare accurate container reports for upper management.
• Track & trace AIR shipments to ensure smooth delivery, solve problems such as customs clearance hold, package missing in transit etc.
• Review ocean/air freight invoices from forwarder and approve payments.
• Arrange export transportation and prepare required shipping documents
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• 3+ years of international & domestic logistics experience preferred.

• Bilingual English/Mandarin

• Basic knowledge of customs clearance process.

• Problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, detail oriented.

• Excellent written, oral communication and a team player.

• Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

• Microsoft office expertise in Excel.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to interpret visual information and communicate effectively by phone, email, and face-to-face interaction.

Work Environment :

Work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment.

Education Experience/Certifications :

• Education: 4-year degree in supply chain, logistics, planning, or equivalent experience

• Years of Experience : 3+ years, preferred.

Additional Information :

• Languages Spoken : English and Mandarin are required.
