The OneSPC Transformation Programme is a multi-year initiative designed to strengthen SPC’s institutional readiness and resilience in the face of global and regional disruptions. Anchored under the Deputy Director General Operations and Integration Portfolio, the programme delivers measurable improvements through interconnected focus areas: People and Culture, Planning & Resource Allocation, Digital & Technology, and Sustainable Finance.
The role – Strategic Workforce Planning Officer will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering strategic workforce planning initiatives that enable SPC’s institutional transformation and operational effectiveness. This surge support role is dedicated to managing and implementing workforce planning actions and related change initiatives over a 12-month period, ensuring alignment with the OneSPC Transformation Programme and SPC’s Strategic Plan (2022–2031). The Officer will drive collaboration across HR, ICT, Finance, and divisional teams, embed data-driven planning and integrated HR systems, and champion change management and capability building to support organisational resilience, agility, and future readiness.

Contract Duration – 1 year – subject to renewal depending on funding and performance.
Remuneration – The Strategic Workforce Planning Officer is a band 8 position in SPC’s 2025 salary scale, with a starting salary range of 2,146‒2,683 SDR (special drawing rights) per month, which currently converts to approximately FJD 6,460–8,075 (USD 2,854–3,568; EUR 2,629–3,286). An offer of appointment for an initial contract will normally be made in the lower half of this range, with due consideration given to experience and qualifications. Progression within the salary scale will be based on annual performance reviews. Remuneration of expatriate SPC staff members is not subject to income tax in Fiji; Fiji nationals employed by SPC in Fiji will be subject to income tax.
Benefits for Staff in a position advertised internationally (EPAI) whose duty station is Suva – SPC provides a housing allowance of FJD 1,500–5,200 per month. Establishment and repatriation grant, removal expenses, airfares, home leave travel, health and life and disability insurances and education allowances are available for eligible employees and their eligible dependents. Employees are entitled to 25 working days of annual leave per annum and other types of leave, and access to SPC’s Provident Fund (contributing 8% of salary, to which SPC adds a 10% contribution).
