Job Summary:
We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team! In this role, you'll be responsible for managing accounts payable, processing payroll, and handling bank reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency. You'll work closely with our finance team to ensure seamless financial operations while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:
- Review, edit, and approve accounts payable transactions.
- Input invoices as needed in the absence of the Accounts Payable Clerk.


Payroll:
- Review timecards to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Verify payroll deductions, taxes, and garnishments.
- Process bi-weekly payroll with precision.
- Record payroll journal entries in accounting software.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to maintain accurate payroll records.


Reconciliations:
- Assist with bank reconciliations.
- Perform other reconciliation tasks as assigned.


What You Bring:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and payroll processing.
- Proficiency in accounting and payroll software.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Knowledge of U.S. accounting standards and labor regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience).
- 2-5 years of professional accounting experience.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.


Work Hours:
- Flexible schedule of 25-35 hours per week.
- Fully remote position.
