Job Posting: Special Education Teacher (SPED)

Position: Special Education Teacher
License/Credential Required: Special Education Generalist license through the Colorado Department of Education
Location: Various locations within Littleton, CO (see below)
Start/End Date: October 16, 2024, to May 23, 2025
Pay Rate: $50.00 per hour and up, depending on experience
Weekly Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time (20 hours per week), Monday - Friday

Overview:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team in providing exceptional education and support to students with diverse needs across multiple schools within the district. Positions Available:

• Full-Time (3 Positions)
  • High School 
  • Elementary School 
  • Elementary School Resource
• Part-Time (1 Position)
  • Middle School 

Grade Levels:

• Elementary (Grades K-5)
• Middle School (Grades 6-8)
• High School (Grades 9-12)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs across various grade levels.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and school staff to ensure the success of students.
• Monitor and track student progress toward goals outlined in their IEPs.
• Maintain positive relationships with students, families, and school communities.
• Implement behavior management strategies and foster an inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Generalist license through the Colorado Department of Education.
• Experience in teaching students with disabilities is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Passion for working with students with diverse needs.
