Software Engineer Intern – Robotics
Location : This position is based in our Campbell, California offices and is on-site & full-time.

What You’ll Do:
We are looking for a talented Robotics Software Engineer Intern to design and implement robotic algorithms for the Telos robotic platform. As an intern in the Algorithms team at Telos Health, you will contribute to the design and development of robotic algorithms that are involved with the kinematics, controls, and infrastructure of the robotic platform. You will work closely with a cross functional team to implement and test algorithms and software solutions based on clinical and user requirements. Participate in the design, and development and prototyping of new concepts and test procedures (methods and fixtures)
  • Design, implement, and test algorithms for our robotic platform
  • Interface with robotic hardware to test and demonstrate solutions developed
  • Implement and test solutions in production software environment using C++ and/or Python
  • Work closely with other engineers (software, controls, system, hardware) as part of a focused cross-functional team developing software for a medical application.
  • Understand user needs, clinical needs & customer input requirements to drive software development
  • Contribute to development of the software testing and simulation environment
  • Participate in design discussions and code reviews
What You’ll Bring:
  • Minimum of 2 years of college-level coursework in an Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related discipline & a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Experience with C++ and Python
  • Experience in robotic control, kinematics, dynamics, workspace analysis
  • Background in object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns
  • Experience in algorithm development for robotics controls and robot kinematics
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience with multi-threaded applications and event driven architectures
  • Experience with real-time software applications
  • Experience developing software for safety-critical applications
  • Experience with ROS
  • Experience with QNX
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
