We are currently seeking a ServiceNow Developer-ITOM/ITSM to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

Job Summary:

In the role of a ServiceNow Developer you will support our customer by providing a common set of required Enterprise Information Technology services across 187 bases. You will support our DoD customer in the implementation of enterprise IT service delivery model that provides consistent, secure, high-quality, and cost-effective services to enable mission success and improve end user experience across the customer environment. In this role you will assist in the design and development of self-hosted ServiceNow instances in support of an on-prem environment supporting the USAF. You will support configuring, developing, and optimizing ServiceNow ITSM capabilities within the platform.

 

Job Duties: 

  • Key responsibilities include providing technical specifications and implementation of ServiceNow integrations while also providing expertise on all technical questions related to development on ServiceNow.
  • You will develop the technical solutions, implements those solutions, and perform the component integration tests.
  • Working as part of an agile team you will develop an understanding of the business needs and the needs to standardize processes and build these into the design.
  • You will have the ability to understand the large scale thinking and approach needed for success of the project and provide an advanced level of understanding of ServiceNow along with an advanced level programming skills.
  • You will use your fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL and CMDB in the provision of this support.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years of software development experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with ServiceNow implementations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with development and implementation of ServiceNow ITOM and ITSM modules - Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management.
  • An active DoD Secret clearance
  • Must meet 8570/8140 DoD Cyber Workforce Compliance requirement – Will be required to get IAT Level II certification within 60 days of hire if not already obtained.

 

Preferred Qualification:

  • 1 year of experience with DoD cybersecurity processes and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in achieving excellent quality assurance goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills presenting material to senior executive personnel
  • Ability to contribute to the development of program architecture and standards.
  • Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in ITSM technologies and comfortable in the dynamic
  • Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to implement on time to a
  • Project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • JavaScript/AngularJS development experience.
  • System integration experience using web services and other web-based technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS,
  • REST/SOAP.
  • Strong communication, Strong presentation and writing skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to demonstrate influence in a consultative fashion to stakeholders and other team members.
  • Understands technical and functional design requirements related to ServiceNow.
  • Create and manage scripts and workflow.
  • Integrate external data sources into ServiceNow.
  • Build custom dashboards based on custom application data models and external data sources.
  • Customize and configure workflows and define notifications as part of custom workflows in applications.
  • Leads integration of new products based on client requirements.
  • Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
  • Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
  • Instruct, assign, direct and check the work of others on the development team.
  • Participate in development of software user manuals and technical reports.
