Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Writer. As a Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automotive service department. Your primary responsibility will be to communicate with customers, assess their vehicle's needs, and coordinate service appointments.

Duties:

• Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
• Schedule service appointments and ensure efficient workflow in the service department
• Communicate with technicians to relay customer concerns and vehicle information
• Provide accurate estimates for repairs and obtain customer approval
• Coordinate with parts department to ensure timely delivery of necessary parts
• Keep customers updated on the status of their vehicle repairs
• Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a dealership or automotive repair environment is preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
• Familiarity with common automotive repair services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, shocks, and struts
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient computer skills for data entry and record keeping
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
