At Ted Britt Ford Lincoln, the Cashier plays a key role in ensuring a smooth, professional, and friendly conclusion to every customer’s service experience. This position is responsible for accurately processing payments, finalizing repair orders, and providing exceptional customer service at the service department checkout counter with an "on-stage" mentality.
The Cashier also supports the Service Advisors and administrative team with light clerical tasks, filing, and data entry, scanning completed invoices into document retention system, as well as answering the phones when needed to schedule service appointments. This position offers an excellent introduction to dealership operations and can serve as a stepping stone into roles such as Service Advisor, Warranty Administrator, and many others.

Job Responsibilities:
Payment Processing: Accurately process customer payments for service and parts invoices via cash, credit, and other approved methods.
Customer Interaction: Greet customers professionally, review invoices, answer basic questions, and ensure a smooth checkout experience.
Repair Order Management: Close repair orders accurately and ensure all necessary documentation is attached and properly filed.
Administrative Support: Assist with filing, data entry, and other light clerical duties to support the service department.
Communication: Coordinate with Service Advisors, Parts staff, and management to resolve billing or payment discrepancies promptly.
Customer Satisfaction: Uphold Ted Britt’s commitment to delivering a professional and courteous experience to every guest.
Organization: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and handle cash drawers responsibly.
Teamwork: Collaborate with advisors and other service staff to maintain an efficient and positive workflow.
Job Requirements:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling money and data entry.
Basic computer proficiency; experience with dealership systems (Reynolds & Reynolds) a plus.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
High school diploma or equivalent; ideal for recent graduates or college students.
Previous customer service or cashier experience preferred but not required.
Must be punctual, dependable, and team-oriented.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
