Job Description

SUMMARY:

Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions. Analyze financial statements and perform variance analysis to ensure accuracy

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information

  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses

  • Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position variance analyses for assigned locations

  • Develop, implement, or modify accounting and internal control policies and procedures.

  • Assist internal and external personnel with annual audit

  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service

  • Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization

REQUIREMENTS:


  • 4 to 5 years&rsquo experience in an accounting role

  • Healthcare industry preferred

  • Interpersonal skills to support customer service, functional, and team mate support needs

  • Mathematical and/or analytical ability for basic to intermediate problem solving

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Specialty knowledge of systems relating to job function 3

  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position general understanding of HIPAA guidelines
