Job Description



Role & Function

The Senior Manager, Immunology Analytics will develop comprehensive performance narratives for leadership and develop relationships with cross functional partners to inform their perspectives.

As a member of the Insights & Analytics team, this individual will be an integral strategic thought partner to the US Commercial Brand team, leveraging a strong understanding of the market and customer needs to inform decisions related to brand strategy, stakeholder communications and other initiatives. Key responsibilities include performance reporting, dashboard design, forecasting, primary market research, and competitive intelligence. 

This position will report to the US Immunology Insights & Analytics lead and will be a hybrid position coming into our Waltham, MA office at least 1-2 days per week and working remotely otherwise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce regular reports, presentations, and executive summaries to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Identify data trends, explore underlying factors, and think strategically about opportunities.
  • Create cohesive performance narratives that articulate trends, root causes, and counter-measures.
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly in slides and verbally to leadership.
  • Develop cross-functional relationships to enhance understanding of brand strategy, medical concepts, and market dynamics.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analytics on standard pharmaceutical data sets (pharmacy claims, medical claims, DDD, 867, 852).
  • Manage brand forecasting models and understand assumptions for forecasts.
  • Design and manage improvements to business visualization dashboards.
  • Inform and evolve data strategy, KPI definition, and data mart requirements.
  • Incorporate Competitive Intelligence into Situational Analysis and alert leadership to changes.
  • Integrate market research into performance narratives.
  • Utilize patient segmentation, journey studies, demand studies, brand positioning, and messaging in performance narratives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8-10 years of analytical experience including performance reporting, competitive intelligence, and forecasting
  • 5+ years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry in a commercial or consulting role
  • 2+ years working with pharmaceutical data sets including claims, DDD, and 867/852 data
  • Mature SQL and data analytics skills, with comfort accessing data across a variety of platforms
  • Experience with Tableau or similar BI tool
  • Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, and creativity in problem solving
  • Interest in CI, primary research, and forecasting in the pharmaceutical space
  • Interest in developing knowledge of commercial functions to expand and develop business acumen

Additional Information



The base salary pay range for this role is $133,000-$180,000 annually. Actual pay for this position will take into account factors such as experience and location. In addition to a base salary, this position is also eligible for a competitive 401k match, short and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD and life insurance benefits, in addition to other health and wellness programs and offerings.
