Where You’ll Work

This position is based in our Lenexa, KS office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing sophisticated email campaigns that drive engagement and deliver value to members. Serving as the subject matter expert, this role oversees the full lifecycle of email operations from building dynamic, multi-touch automations to maintaining a strategic communications calendar and ensuring brand consistency through a robust design system. The specialist develops targeted messaging strategies, leverages data insights to optimize performance, and continuously refines segmentation and personalization tactics.

  • Develop and manage complex email campaigns, including multi-touch automations, drip campaigns, and dynamic content.
  • Create and implement a strategy for transactional and lifecycle messaging, developing and refining audience segmentation to ensure targeted and relevant communication.
  • Manage all project planning for email marketing communications and related projects.
  • Maintain the member-facing email calendar and ensure brand consistency through a streamlined design system.
  • Partner with the Digital Marketing Analyst to translate email engagement data and trends into actionable insights for leadership and the wider team, identifying opportunities for personalization and A/B testing to improve email performance.
  • Act as the go-to expert for technical execution and troubleshooting of email issues.
  • Serve as a mentor for junior specialists and coordinators, helping them improve their skills in campaign setup, quality assurance, and reporting.
  • Train staff on how to use the email marketing system and educate the team on best practices.
  • Partner with IT and external vendors to maintain and improve our email marketing solutions.

What You’ll Bring To CHA

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of three years of progressive experience in digital communications, with a focus on email marketing.
  • Advanced skills in email marketing platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo or HubSpot.
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS for email development is required.
  • Experience with project management tools like Wrike, Asana, or Trello.
  • Familiarity with email testing tools like Litmus or Email on Acid is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a track record of managing multiple projects and collaborating across teams.
  • A demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.

This pay range shown is a guideline. Min: $70,000 Max: $118,000 Compensation is based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
