Job Description

Currently looking for individuals to join our Security Team. As a Security Officer, you will protect assets during the day (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM/3:00 PM - 11:00 PM/11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) by guarding, patrolling, and monitoring the premises to prevent theft, fire, violence, and other crimes or infractions of rules. Security Officers are responsible for responding to and investigating alarms, suspicious activity, fire, etc.

Ideal candidates are trustworthy, professional, reliable, responsible, and possess integrity. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be detailed oriented. Candidates must work well both as a team and individually, and communicate effectively with other members of the department, management, public safety, etc.

The job is full time, year round. There is a increase in hours during the summer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor, authorize, and record entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises;
Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours;
Be familiar with, understand, and comply with employment guidelines and departmental SOP's and General Orders;
Patrol premises by foot and/or by vehicle to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or fire and ensure security of doors, windows, gates, etc.;
Answer alarms and investigate disturbances;
Call management and police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons, etc as prescribed;
Operate devices as per policy during routine patrol of premises;
Write reports of daily activities and incident reports for irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences;
Any other tasks as assigned by management.

Salary: $ 15.00 Per Hour
