Are you a compassionate and dedicated School Counselor seeking a flexible, remote role? We are looking for a licensed School Counselor based in New Mexico to provide academic, career, and mental health counseling to high school students in a fully virtual environment. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while working from the comfort of your own home.

Position Overview: This is a contract-based, hourly position with a commitment of 30 hours per week (Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM). You'll support students in navigating their educational and personal goals while ensuring they receive the guidance they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Guide students through the New Mexico High School Graduation Requirements, helping them stay on track for graduation.
Assist with district and state testing, including identifying students eligible for graduation.
Provide academic counseling to help students set and achieve their educational goals.
Offer mental health counseling and support for students' well-being as needed.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure student success and support.
Manage a dynamic caseload, serving all high school students (approximately 256 students) as necessary.
Maintain accurate, confidential student records in compliance with school policies.
Utilize virtual platforms to conduct remote counseling sessions and provide resources effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Counseling, School Counseling, or a related field.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a school counselor.
Current state licensure to practice as a School Counselor in New Mexico.

Desired Skills and Attributes:

Strong understanding of academic advising, graduation planning, and student assessments.
Previous experience providing counseling services to high school students.
Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and teletherapy tools.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a remote team to support students' success.
