JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Upholstery Technician I

LOCATION: Brunswick, GA

PAY RATE: $23.31/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• This is an entry-level position ideal for candidates with a High School Diploma or GED.

• Previous experience with commercial sewing machines, sergers, or tools used in upholstery or carpet trades is preferred.

• Under moderate supervision, you will fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and create simple patterns for aircraft interiors, following engineering drawings and FAA specifications.

• Perform upholstery installation and trim tasks in compliance with work order instructions and specifications.

• Fit and install panels, cabin headliners, sidewalls, hatch panels, and windows.

• Cut, surge, and install carpets; create carpet patterns based on design drawings.

• Fabricate and install metal parts and panel coverings.

• Use material tracking systems to create part demands, track squawks, and document work.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Basic math and measuring skills; ability to read blueprints and engineering documents.

• Familiarity with sewing machines, sergers, or upholstery tools preferred.

• Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 40 lbs, and work in confined spaces.

• Must be computer literate and fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
