Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Operating Room RN to provide safe, effective, and patient-family-centered care in perioperative settings. This role involves scrubbing, circulating, providing first assist support during surgeries, and assisting in the recovery room (PACU) as needed. The RN must communicate effectively with the perioperative team, maintain confidentiality, and uphold the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform perioperative duties including scrubbing, circulating, first assisting, and PACU care.
Assist with general and specialized surgical procedures.
Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff.
Maintain accurate documentation using EMR (CPSI/Evident).
Ensure patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current RN license in the state.
Minimum 1 year perioperative experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS for PACU (may be obtained within required timeframe).
CNOR certification preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Additional Information:
Day shift schedule.
13-week contract.
Holiday coverage required.
