The Default Document Analyst will be responsible for the thorough review of papers furnished to support foreclosure actions in compliance with investor and Carrington (the “company”) guidelines. Audits each sworn statement or declaration paper to be signed by a company employee to ensure data or assertions made in those papers are accurate and that the relevant documentary evidence supporting the data or assertions is attached to those papers.

Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay range for this position is $20.00 – $22.00 per hour.

What You’ll Do

  • Review and analyze all proposed sworn statements or declarations papers drafted by law firms hired by the company, along with all documentary or other evidence to be attached to the papers, to ensure all factual information contained in the proposed sworn statements or declarations is true, accurate and complete.
  • Approve or reject proposed sworn statements or declarations through the company’s approved file management and communication software with outside & inside counsel and/or company employees.
  • Perform routine audits of the accuracy and completeness of company executed sworn statements or declarations filed in foreclosure actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in default servicing, mortgage, title or real estate.
  • Basic knowledge of lawsuit fundamentals and foreclosure processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, etc.
  • Familiarity with mortgage application software, e.g. Equator, OnBase, Sagent, Tempo, etc.
