The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Labor and Delivery/Antepartum unit, which has 24 beds and handles 150-180 births per month. Responsibilities include circulating, triage, newborn care, magnesium and Pitocin administration, SVE, recovery, postpartum care, heel sticks, hyperbilirubinemia management, TCB/TSB monitoring, discharge instructions, car seat education, blood transfusions, and circumcision care/assistance. The role requires floating to Post Partum and Nursery units and taking call.

Responsibilities:
- Circulate and triage patients in Labor and Delivery/Antepartum.
- Provide newborn care.
- Administer magnesium and Pitocin.
- Perform SVE (Sterile Vaginal Exam).
- Assist in patient recovery.
- Provide postpartum care.
- Perform heel sticks.
- Manage hyperbilirubinemia.
- Monitor TCB and TSB levels.
- Provide discharge instructions.
- Educate on car seat safety.
- Assist with blood transfusions.
- Provide circumcision care and assistance.
- Float to Post Partum and Nursery units as needed.
- Take call as scheduled.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, and NRP certifications.
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Antepartum experience.
- Experience with newborn care, magnesium, Pitocin, SVE, circulating, recovery, postpartum care, heel sticks, hyperbilirubinemia, TCB/TSB monitoring, discharge instructions, car seat education, blood transfusions, and circumcision care/assistance.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- 3 years of Labor and Delivery/Antepartum experience.
- Extensive travel experience (if less than 3 years of experience).
Special Considerations:
- Must be willing to float to Post Partum and Nursery units.
- Must be willing to take call 1 per 2 weeks.
- Must be able to start on 12/15.
Scheduling:
- 3x12 hour night shifts.
- Weekends: 5 to 6 per 6 week period.
