The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for developing, automating, and executing test cases and test scripts throughout the software development lifecycle. This role involves planning, leading, and reporting on testing efforts, ensuring quality practices, and driving continuous test process improvement.

Responsibilities:
- Identify test cases for automation from existing documentation.
- Create, enhance, debug, and execute test cases.
- Organize and monitor the defect management process.
- Create test designs, test processes, test cases, and test data.
- Participate in walkthroughs of testing procedures.
- Prepare reports related to software testing.
- Ensure test-related work adheres to defined standards and procedures.
- Analyze requirements to identify test cases and develop test scripts.
- Recommend innovations to enhance application delivery.
- Represent the team in interdepartmental meetings.
- Supervise testing activities and identify training needs.
- Plan testing activities and prepare test effort estimations.
- Drive continuous test process improvement using metrics.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related IT field or equivalent experience.
- At least seven years of experience developing, automating, and executing test cases and test scripts according to SDLCs (DevOps, Agile, Lean, Iterative, or Waterfall).
- Ability to plan, lead, and report on testing efforts.
- Ability to validate requirements for testability.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (UFT, Rational Functional Tester, Selenium, or BrowserStack).
- Experience with knowledge transfer of test automation and automation planning.
- Experience in creating, enhancing, and maintaining an RTM.
- In-depth experience testing Microsoft Windows, Linux applications that incorporate client-server, web, mobile, or cloud platforms.
- Proficient in designing and executing SQL queries.
- Demonstrated ability to build test environments on cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure or AWS).
