The Role:
The Quality Assurance Engineer will support the Plant Quality Manager to continuously improve and ensure compliance to all current and new Global Quality Operations requirements. The Quality Assurance Engineer will also collaborate across all manufacturing disciplines to drive common and standardized manufacturing quality system requirements, procedures, metrics, and standard methodologies.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Developing, deploying and confirming compliance to global quality standards through utilization of the local quality management systems
Provide direct, honest, constructive feedback to Plant Staff in a considerate and professional manner
Support Launch of new products in the plant when applicable
Support timely responses and compliance to GRAs, single point contact for PQRSs, support management of plant spills/disruptions/holds and escalate EI communications
Manage the Quality BUC, BIQ team and Team of internal auditors
Ensuring compliance to torque requirements, supervising process and torque monitors, leading the internal audit process, and leading the Fast Response process
Oversee ILM requirements
Act as GSIP administrator
Provide QMS/BIQ training where required
Act as SharePoint administrator
Represent the Quality team in PPS/Fast Response meetings and Golden Hours
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
Quality assurance experience
Ability to work over-time and off-shift as needed
Strong communication skills
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
3+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar field
Launch experience
GMS experience
Familiar with GM quality systems
Problem solving experience (Red X, DFSS, six sigma green belt or six sigma black belt)
