Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager - Heavy Highway Bridge Construction

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in heavy highway bridge construction, specifically with experience working on projects for the Illinois and Indiana Departments of Transportation (DOT). This role will involve overseeing bridge construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage heavy highway bridge construction projects, ensuring successful execution from start to finish.
* Coordinate with the Illinois and Indiana DOT to ensure compliance with state regulations, standards, and specifications.
* Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure project milestones are met.
* Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure work is completed according to plan and meets quality standards.
* Prepare and submit project documentation, including progress reports, safety logs, and compliance records.
* Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and DOT representatives.
* Resolve project issues and challenges as they arise, making proactive decisions to keep the project on track.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience in project management within the heavy highway bridge construction industry.
* Strong familiarity with Illinois and Indiana DOT specifications and regulations.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
* Knowledge of project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
* 5+ years of experience in highway bridge construction, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
* Experience with Illinois and/or Indiana DOT projects is strongly preferred.
