Postdoctoral Fellow - American History; Indigenous History & Cultural History

Position Summary:
The Department of History and the Idaho Society of Fellows is now accepting applications for a two-year (academic year) postdoctoral fellowship in American History, anticipated to begin July 1, 2025. Fellows will pursue their own research and teach one course per semester.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in History or equivalent field is required by the start of the position
  • Broadly trained American Historian with expertise in Indigenous History and/or Cultural History

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Indigenous History and/or Cultural History
  • Prior experience teaching and mentoring students
