Job Description

Great Basin Industrial, a construction company with offices in Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Colorado is seeking a highly skilled Pipe Welder to join its fast-growing team. The successful candidate will have a solid work history as a welder and be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strict safety standards. The Pipe Welder will work on multiple job sites with a team of professionals dedicated to quality, safety, and on-time delivery. Responsibilities

  • Lay-out, fabricate and weld piping systems on job sites, in accordance with project designs and specifications.
  • Specialize in welding pipe joints and welding by fabrication, repair, and installation of boilers, pressure vessels, piping, and other components as directed.
  • Be proficient in the use of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Prepare parts for welding, positioning, and clamping them together to secure in place, and join them using various welding techniques.
  • Perform welding repairs on piping and other metal components.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and maintenance, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a pipe welding role.
  • Excellent understanding of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical plans and blueprints.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to work efficiently and effectively with team members and job site supervisors.
