Overall Position Description

MCI seeks skilled piping installers for a mid to entry-level position in the construction of commercial HVAC Systems. The position reports to the Pipefitting Foreman and is located in Charlotte, NC.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending various sizes of pipe and tubing to the required angle using pipe cutters, and pipe-threading machines.
• Welding carbon steel pipe using mig, tig, or stick
• Copper Brazing for refrigerant piping, copper soldering for hydronic pipe.
• Threading, and assembling threaded black pipe.

​Desired Skills and Experience

• 2 years of field mechanical trade experience.
• Must possess a current valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and comprehensive background check.
• Must be physically able to complete all necessary piping tasks for an 8 hour work period.
• Flexibility for travel and working overtime/weekends, as required.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass a welding test.
