What You'll Do:
Initiate new prior authorization requests to providers.
Identify the correct prior authorization form for each patient's insurance.
Coordinate with prescribers and medical offices to ensure accurate information on forms.
Follow up with medical offices on the status of requests.
Communicate prior authorization status to patients and providers.
Coordinate with medical offices on appeals.
Respond to internal questions about prior authorizations.
What You'll Bring:
High school diploma or GED (required); Bachelor's degree (strongly preferred).
Customer service or inbound call center experience (required).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent technical skills, analytical abilities, attention to detail, good judgment, and operational focus.
A passion for providing top-notch patient care.
Ability to work effectively in a team and cross-functionally.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts between 8 AM and 8 PM, including rotating Saturdays (9 AM - 5 PM).
1+ year of experience with prior authorizations or insurance verification in a pharmacy (preferred).
Knowledge of pharmacy benefits and claims (preferred).
Hours/Location:
Full-time (40 hours/week)
Rotating shifts between 8 AM and 8 PM (including rotating Saturdays 9 AM - 5 PM).
On-site in Robinson Township, PA.
