Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, day shift

As a Pharmacist at the Cedars-Sinai Angeles Clinic in Los Angeles on Wilshire Blvd, you will provide therapeutic recommendations and answers medication and patient-related questions from other healthcare providers.

• Identifies, resolves, and prevents potential and actual medication-related problems including untreated indications, improper drug selection, sub-therapeutic dosage, overdosage, failure to receive medication, adverse drug reactions, drug interactions, and medications without indication.
• Provides patients??? and other healthcare providers with education on medication use, side effects, and drug interactions when appropriate.
• Communicates with physicians and pharmacists to recommend changes in medication therapy to optimize patient outcomes (i.e. labs not at goal, discontinuation of medication).
• Supports the process of completing medication prior authorizations as needed.
• Documents of patient progress and outcomes for future reporting.
• Assures ongoing performance improvement of the pharmaceutical care services provided.
• Provides physician education through presentations and "Pharmacy Hot Topics" Cedars-Sinai Medical Group internal monthly newsletter.
• Trains pharmacy residents and students rotating through Cedars-Sinai Medical Group.
• Participates in meetings within the department.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

Licenses/Certifications:

• CA Pharmacist License
• Basic Life Support by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

What else are we looking for?

• Oncology experience is strongly preferred
• Epic and Beacon experience strongly preferred
• Must be able to prioritize, organize and coordinate work
• Abilitiy to multi-task in a very busy environment
• Strong English written and oral communication skills
• Ability to use Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, etc)
