An award winning Dallas Metro Hospital is searching for its next Perioperative Nursing Manager to lead the Operating Room. This facility is in the process of a major expansion and is looking for new innovative leaders to help train and lead its growing staff.
This facility has been recognized for many different awards including; Patient Safety Excellence, as well as America’s Best 250 Hospitals. They offer a wide variety of service lines to serve the surrounding community including; Neurological Care, Pediatric Care, and Oncology just to name a few. The Perioperative Nursing Manager will play a vital role in the continued success and high standard of care that is expected from the Surgical Services Department at this facility.
The Perioperative Nursing Manager will report to and work closely with the Director of Surgical Services and will lead a team of Operating Room Supervisors, OR Nurses and surgical Techs. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for training and mentorship of staff as well as providing updates and reports to leadership on staff progress and overall performance of the unit.
This busy unit handles nearly 600 procedures a month, performing a wide variety of surgical procedures including robotic surgery. The Perioperative Nursing Manager will have the opportunity to lead operations for Orthopedic surgeries as well as Heart procedures as well. The Nurse Manager will play a vital role in the continued award winning services provided by this unit to the community.
The Perioperative Nursing Manager will be responsible for all department matters and will ensure all staff or maintaining hospital standards and working towards hospital goals and vision for the future. Along with oversight of day to day operations of the department the Nurse Manager will also manage the department budget to ensure this unit remains fiscally responsible. The Nurse Manager will act as a liaison between the staff and upper management ensuring the staff’s voice is heard for the needs of the unit, and offer hands-on clinical guidance to maintain a high standard on patient outcomes.
