The Perioperative Nurse Director will join an organization with an outstanding reputation in the community and throughout California.
The Perioperative Nurse Director will report directly to the CNO. Supported by several tenured charge nurses and a Manager, this person will lead a fantastic team and busy department with over 30 FTEs and seeing over 3000 inpatient and outpatient procedures per year. The staff here is passionate about the care they provide and are a happy and cohesive team, eagerly looking to welcome in a new Director.
The Perioperative Nurse Director will be in charge of overseeing pre-op, OR, and PACU care provided by nurses is efficient and thorough. This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital. In addition, the position requires collaboration with the CNO and other hospital managers and directors to achieve the highest level of operational and clinical efficiency that aligns with the hospital’s standards and values. The Perioperative Nurse Director will also have opportunities to develop their staff through education and quality improvement initiatives, as well as developing and maintaining departmental budgets.
