Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor/Manager to join our client's team in El Cajon, California. In this long-term contract to hire position, you will oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all processes. This role requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual with a deep understanding of payroll systems, reporting, and employee compensation management. Responsibilities: - Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees. -Lead and manage the transition from Paycom to UKG, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. - Manage timecard approvals, direct deposits, pay adjustments, and mileage payouts. - Supervise payroll for both hourly non-exempt and salaried employees on a bi-weekly basis. - Ensure compliance with overtime regulations and other payroll-related labor laws. - Administer benefit-related deductions, including 401(k) contributions, and ensure proper reporting. - Collaborate with HR to maintain alignment between payroll and employee records. - Conduct audits to verify payroll accuracy and identify discrepancies. - Generate detailed financial reports and analyses to support decision-making processes. - Support the implementation and integration of payroll software systems. - Provide guidance and training to staff on payroll procedures and best practices. Requirements - Proven experience managing payroll operations, including full-cycle payroll processing. - Proficiency in UKG - Strong knowledge of 401(k) administration and benefit-related payroll functions. - Expertise in auditing and accounting practices related to payroll. - Strong understanding of compliance requirements for overtime and other labor laws. - Excellent organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail. - Ability to collaborate effectively with HR and other departments.
