- Worksite Location: San Louis Obispo, CA or remote if within PST time zone
- Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for converfsion to permanent.
- Pay Rate: $28-32/hour depending on qualifications
What you’ll do as the Payroll Clerk: - Ensure that employees’ time entries and time off requests are accurate, submitted on time, and comply with company policies, as well as federal and state regulations
- Conduct detailed auditing of time entries and time requests in Workday, communicating and correcting any discrepancies
- Investigate and resolve any timekeeping issues or disputes promptly and effectively
- Work closely with the Payroll Processing team during payroll close processes to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
- Respond to employee requests and questions regarding timekeeping in a timely and professional manner
- Generate and provide timekeeping reports to management and other departments as needed
- Accurately process and complete assigned timekeeping tasks within deadlines
What you’ll bring to the Payroll Clerk role: - Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service-oriented approach
- Experience with doing payroll for large companies
- Experience building and filing BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics) Reports
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of professionalism
- Detail-oriented with exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Ability to build and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with multiple departments
- Proficient in keyboarding and computer skills; digitally literate
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, etc.)
