Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital pattern-making within high-end women's ready-to-wear fashion.
  • Advanced understanding of fit, body movement, and body proportion.
  • Strong proficiency in garment construction techniques and pattern grading.
  • Knowledge of fabric properties and their impact on garment construction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Technical Pack systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Job Overview: In this role, you will use your comprehensive understanding of garment construction and exceptional organizational skills to support our Womenswear Department. You will play a crucial part in the product lifecycle, ensuring the original design concept is accurately translated into a finished product that meets our customers' expectations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate directly with factory Pattern Makers to resolve garment fit issues and ensure final garment construction aligns with design intent.
  • Oversee the pattern construction process for samples, including amendments and grading approval for bulk production.
  • Provide technical guidance during fit sessions, recommending alterations to improve garment fit and construction.
  • Conduct thorough inspections at all development stages to ensure fabrics, measurements, and overall quality meet brand standards.
  • Measure incoming samples, update measurement records, and ensure adherence to size standards.
  • Assist in documenting fit session notes, feedback, and technical adjustments.
  • Prepare detailed fit comments, including photos, size references, and construction notes, for communication with suppliers.
  • Support Technical Pack updates with relevant comments and measurements to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Manage workload, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate updates on sample trackers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and technology to integrate innovative practices into garment development.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflows, providing technical solutions for sample challenges.
