Carolina Ophthalmology is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of western North Carolina with primary offices in Hendersonville, Asheville, Skyland and Columbus, NC and satellite offices in Spruce Pine and Waynesville. The Practice is composed of 9 physicians and approximately 85 employees. As an Ophthalmic Scribe/Medical Assistant at Carolina Ophthalmology, you can expect a varied and fulfilling day. Your primary responsibilities will include documenting patient encounters, recording medical histories and preparing patients for examinations. You'll assist the ophthalmologist in managing patient flow, ensuring a seamless experience for those seeking care.
Your role will also involve updating patient records and coordinating with other healthcare professionals, fostering effective communication within the team. Each day from Monday to Friday, your schedule will be from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, providing a consistent work routine. You may participate in team meetings and training sessions to further develop your skills and knowledge, all while being an integral part of a compassionate environment focused on enhancing patient care.
