A tertiary non profit Medical Center in the Portland Metropolitan Area is actively seeking a Nurse Manager Surgical Services to lead their bustling Perioperative Services.
Trusted with implementing essential clinical and operational best practices to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of inpatient surgical care through high quality nursing practices, the Clinical Nurse Manager of Surgical Services issues guidelines and training programs to empower and equip nursing personnel and staff to maintain those quality standards.
Under the guidance of an astute Surgery Department Director of Nursing, the Perioperative Clinical RN Manager leads a first-rate team of operating room registered nurses and nurse specialists who are accountable for day-to-day clinical performance and quality outcomes.
A broad range of procedures and specialties includes Vascular, Thoracic, and Weight Loss surgeries. The Surgical Services Clinical Nurse Manager is indispensable to a department utilizing progressive techniques for traditional surgeries and advanced robotic systems. The Medical center recently upgraded the surgical services department, with the help of the Da Vinci SI HD surgery System, allowing minimally invasive surgery. Overall, they perform over 12,000 inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures
The Nurse Manager Surgical Services will oversee one of the busiest Perioperative Departments in the region, and will be responsible for 20 OR’s, over 1200 monthly cases, 140 FTE’s and will be supported by 6 Assistant Managers.
