IGT is seeking a Network Engineer I to provide first-level support for the network infrastructure that powers our Wide Area Progressive (WAP) systems. This entry-level role supports the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of core networking components such as routers, switches, and cabling, all within a high-availability, 24/7 real-time support environment. Working closely with senior engineers, the position contributes to network documentation, system diagnostics, and project-based initiatives aimed at enhancing reliability and performance. This is a hands-on opportunity to build foundational experience in a fast-paced technical setting while supporting systems critical to IGT’s global gaming operations.

 

  • Assist senior engineers with installations, network maintenance, and support.
  • Provide elementary-level network infrastructure support for all IGT Wide Area Progressive (WAP) and Technology Operations shared services systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network functions using tools to verify services, check toolset availability, detect and report issues, escalate when necessary, and document anomalies.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of network devices such as routers and switches.
  • Support systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network/system problems.
  • Assist in replacing faulty network hardware when required and support efforts to maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, best practices, and performance/capacity metrics.
  • Assist in planning and participate as a team member on projects related to network delivery.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a technology field or equivalent network certification and experience.
  • 2 years of networking experience in a support capacity.
  • CompTIA Network+ required.
  • CCNA or equivalent preferred.
  • Understanding of basic network infrastructure and technology:
    • WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, UDP, and DHCP.
    • Routers and switches.
    • Fiber optic and copper cabling.
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
  • The position will require travel based on the business needs of the company.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that provides real-time support 24/7/365.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $44,990/yr - $96,845/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
