Job Description

We're looking for a motivated and driven individual to help develop new business and originate mortgage loans through various channels, including branches, realtors, and builders. You'll be responsible for responding to referrals from branch staff and providing personalized service to clients throughout the mortgage application process. A strong understanding of mortgage regulations, bank products, and services will help you build lasting relationships with customers and deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Cultivate and originate mortgage loans through branches, realtors, and builders.
Interview potential borrowers and take mortgage loan applications.
Submit completed applications to loan processors for review and approval.
Respond to referrals and inquiries from branch staff and other sources.
Assist loan processors by gathering additional information when needed.
Cross-sell the bank's wide range of products and services to strengthen client relationships.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience. An MBA or Master's Degree is a plus.
2+ years of lending experience preferred.
A customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to delivering excellent service.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle complex instructions, financial materials, and forms.
Ability to stay calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
Flexibility to work varying hours based on business needs.
