Position Summary:

Are you a dependable, energetic, hard-working, self-starter, able to multitask with a desire to make a difference in other people's lives? We are looking for an experienced, part-time medical insurance billing specialist to ensure the financial health of our organization by accurately and efficiently processing mental health claims, executing billing operations, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize revenue cycle management. Remote position in California. Hours are Monday to Friday, 3 to 4-hour shifts, with some flexibility in establishing a set schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

1+ years prior work experience in medical billing roles
Proficiency in billing, healthcare reimbursement, payment posting, revenue cycle management, billing software, and electronic health record (EHR) systems
Thorough understanding of Medicare, Medical and other third-party payer regulations and reimbursement processes
Certification in medical billing is highly desirable
Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially MS Excel)
Ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely and efficient manner
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Mental health experience a plus
Detail oriented
Highly dependable
Commitment to quality, service, teamwork, compassion and ethical excellence
Successful completion of background check
