Job Description

Position: Medical Billing Manager

Key Responsibilities
Lead and Support the Billing Team: Provide guidance to your team on billing procedures and assist in resolving complex issues.
Claims Management: Oversee timely and accurate submission of claims to insurance providers.
Revenue Monitoring: Track payments, denials, and adjustments to maintain optimal cash flow.
Patient Account Resolution: Ensure all patient accounts are billed and resolved promptly.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and all federal, state, and payer-specific billing regulations.
Stay Current: Monitor changes in coding, billing practices, and insurance guidelines to keep processes updated.
Accounts Receivable Oversight: Develop and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances and streamline collections.
Data Analysis: Analyze billing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and improve processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to enhance workflows and overall revenue cycle efficiency.
Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve escalated billing concerns from patients or insurance providers.
Coding Accuracy: Collaborate with coding teams to ensure proper documentation and claim submissions.
Reporting: Prepare and deliver financial and operational reports to management with actionable insights and recommendations for increasing efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications
Proven experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing teams in a healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of healthcare billing regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and implement improvements.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Must reside in New York State (NYS).
